What is URRR? 

The UR Research Repository (URRR) is a place for faculty, researchers, students, staff, and UR community members to deposit their research outputs.  

URRR allows you to: 

  • Share your data, papers, presentations, dissertations, and other research outputs. 
  • Make your work easily accessible to the global research community. 
  • Meet publisher and funder requirements. 
  • Reserve a digital object identifier (DOI) for your research output. 
  • Connect your data and other research to your publications and ORCID. 
  • Benefit from the UR Libraries’ data and document curation process. 

Every UR community member is allotted 10 GB of initial storage. UR community members can get an additional 10 GB upon request.  Contact UR Libraries you need more storage space for data or publications. If you need additional storage. Getting Started 

Interested in depositing your scholarly outputs? Is it data, an article, a presentation or other scholarly output? URRR uses the Figshare platform as UR’s official institutional repository. Visit rochester.figshare.com to get started.

  • Login with your UR-affiliated username and password.
  • Fill out your profile in URRR.
  • For user guides and other materials, see URRR Standards and Workflows Documentation Collection. This collection includes workflows, standards documents, guides and other resources to assist researchers to deposit data, scholarly works, and other materials in URRR.

What about Copyright?

If your work has been previously published and you transferred copyright to the publisher, you will have to investigate your agreement to determine whether you can make your work available through. Use Open Policy Finder or check your publisher's website for publisher copyright and permission policies. If you are unsure, please contact UR Libraries for help.
